Fort Myers, FL – November 14, 2005 –Earlier this month at The Junior League of Fort Myers Taste of the Town Event over 10 restaurants received awards and Mercedes-Benz of Fort Myers gave away a brand new Mercedes!
All 40 restaurants were eligible to win one of the following titles that were awarded by 10 community celebrity judges:

In addition to the restaurant awards, The Junior League partnered for the third year with Mercedes-Benz of Fort Myers to give away a new 2006 Mercedes C230 Sport Sedan at this year’s Taste of the Town event on November 6, 2005. The lucky winner of the drawing was John Galenski of Cape Coral.

Taste of the Town was held on Sunday, November 6, 2005, 11:00am till 5:00pm. This event is a family oriented festival that caters to over 15,000 people from all over Southwest Florida. The concept, started 23 years ago, allows the community to “taste” the signature dishes from top local restaurants while enjoying entertainment for all ages. Taste of the Town is the largest single food and entertainment festival in Southwest Florida.
Taste of the Town is the signature annual fund raising event of the Junior League of Fort Myers, Inc. Proceeds are given back to the community through the League’s service projects.
The Junior League of Fort Myers, Inc. is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc., an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
